Johnoy and Kakoy at 70s Bistro
That 70s Bistro 70s is an excellent music lounge to hang-out to. Like Mag:net Cafe and Conspiracy Garden Café, there's always good people to chill out with...friends and strangers alike. Of course, Renard, the hands-on manager is always there making sure things are nice and dandy. Ruben of SnakeCharmer was there, and so did Trixie of Putik. Yeah, after a while drifting in and out of music places, the faces become familiar.
Dave Mathews Anyone? I heard from a few friends that the duo, Johnoy and Kakoy, are not to be missed. Aside from that, I didn't know what to expect - not even the kind of music they play. I ventured into 70s Bistro to check them out. When they started playing, Johnoy's smooth velvety voice reminded me of Dave Mathews. Kakoy played lead guitar, while a guest performer was tucked behind playing slide on the flat guitar (for lack of the right word). These guys are great and deserve to be listened to on stage.
