The Pup

The caretaker of the dorm where I live brought home an abandoned puppy. Small, frail and traumatized, it kept crying the first night. It eventually acclimatized and started roaming around the fenced-in confines of the dorm ground. But it was all alone nonetheless - not even a cat to play with. It would happily wag its tail whenever a person would enter the gate, hoping perhaps it can have a playmate, or even someone who'll notice.

Coming home in the still of the night, the puppy approached me predictably wagging its tail with its doleful look, hoping for any kind of interaction.

Thought Bubble: You know what, pup? We're not too different. It's late at night...we're both in a place new to us....and we hardly know anyone. Let's go get us some sleep.
