New Year Rain Ride

Dudz and I planned to start the year right by riding our bikes up Lake Balinsasayao. This is probably the toughest doable bike ride in the Dumaguete area - climbing 918 meters high in 13.6 kms. When he couldn't make it, I decided to go it alone. But it rained. With my worn-out tire, downhilling on slippery slope on the way back was just plain stupid. I try not to do stupid things anymore...LOL. But this is Jan 1! I can't start the year cocooned in the house. I already missed the countdown party at Zanzibar due to the rain, and I'd miss this one too? Hmmm...why not bike in the pouring rain? I haven't done this since I was a kid. Sounds like fun!
