City by the Sea - The Movie

I've always been a de Niro fan since watching his classics: Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, The Mission and The Godfather. But in the last so many years, while his counterpart Al Pacino has released bigger-than-life movies like Scent of a Woman, Insomnia, Carlito's Way, etc., de Niro passed on some very good roles and started playing bit roles like in Sleepers, A Bronx Tale and The Fan. In Good Fellas, he should have played Joe Pesci's role…same thing with Casino. This latest movie, even while he plays protagonist, falls way below what you might call a classic. It's not a bad movie, but for a de Niro film, it's a bit lightweight.
