Lunch at Asian Legend

It's been awhile since the last Chinese lunch at Asian Legend. The office crew went for an eat-out. I could use one. As much as I enjoy my routine legume/veggie lunch, I had a craving for something different. I pulled the stops to my rigid diet. Pigging out is good when done far in-between.

Art of Living Follow-up

After work, I proceeded to Bloor/Spadina for the Art of Living follow-up at Helen's The Yoga Studio. Arriving early, I took a stroll along the Annex, an animated neighborhood where cool things happen. I was curious about everything...the restaurants, the stores, people passing-by, etc. I had to get going to meet the class. Not everyone was there...Celeste, Andre, Kiran (who briefly showed up), Subhasis, Taylor, Helen found time for the gathering. The atmosphere was less formal. We talked, shared ideas and did the long Kriya. Maybe this'll be the last time I'll see them.

Jazz Bar with Celeste and Andre

As planned previously, I hooked up with Celeste and Andre after we dispersed. They took me to a neighborhood jazz-joint in Roncesvalle where their friend Lyne is performing. Lyne is dynamic and full of life. We were later joined by her husband John, who's equally as interesting. We had a relaxed conversation as Lyne went back for her next set.

Those were good moments. I can't help but look at the thread that led me there: Kiran's yoga led me to Celeste's partner yoga which brought me to the Art of Living course where I had connections with at least 4 people. In pursuit of that connection, I now find myself in this jazz joint enjoying the conversation and vibe.
