Invoking Mahavatar Babaji
Except for a few, I don't really care too much for gurus and their spiritual books. But upon reading the back cover of this book, the author claimed that he was a disciple of Mahavatar Babaji, the deathless saint who is said to have lived for 2000 years in the Himalayas. This got my attention. I had to read this book.
At Hostel 7 Cebu
I've seen and read parts of this book since I checked in at Hostel 7 Cebu years ago. But I had to check out before I could finish it. Upon my return, I would begin from the start again and leave without finishing it. This process became a loop until I decided to take the book with me...with permission.
Mahavatar Babaji
Mahavatar Babaji is a looming figure in my yoga space. I keep stumbling upon him...while reading Autobiography of a Yogi, interviews with Sri M, the Immortals, and a few notable others. Not much is known about him, so I indulge every time I come across him.
Mahavtar Babaji and Guruji Naushir
This book is a collection of wisdom from Mahavtar Babaji as relayed to Guruji. Babaji made first contact with Guruji Naushir via a handwritten note in the beginning of January 2000 when he had gone to Vijaywada to conduct a series of Reiki seminars. From that day onwards a constant flow of communication began coming from Babaji with specific instructions about spreading His spiritual wisdom. In May 2010, after the snow had melted and the roads were open to public, Guruji left for Badrinath in search of Babaji. During the next twenty days, Guruji roamed the mountains around Badrinath, searching for Babaji in caves in dangerous and remote locations. Finally, Guruji met Babaji, 5 kilometers from Badrinath on the road to the Neelkanth peak. They were together for 30 minutes. In August 2012, Guruji Naushir requested Babaji to become his Guru. It was a bold decision, because when you ask someone like Babaji to become your Guru, you have to be ready for just about anything. A few days later, in September 2012, Babaji accepted Guruji Naushir as his disciple. This came with a set of 18 stringent conditions. Babaji's guidance and instructions came at regular intervals, giving Guruji new powers and enhanced wisdom.
