February 15, 2003 Saturday
Canadian Auto Show
Having a great dinner last night with Emily, the anticipation of seeing the latest and greatest cars at today's Canadian Auto Show and my weekend yoga using the Brian Kest tapes
started me off on a good vibe. There's nothing like
morning yoga as a foundation for the rest of the day.
I went to the
packed annual car show specifically to view one car:
Lamborghini Diablo. Alas, like last year, it wasn't put on display to provide spotlight to its muted replacement - the
Murcielago. While sporty and power-packed, the Murcielago is a far cry to the over-the-top Italian styling of the Diablo. So much for evolution.
The day wasn't wasted however. The
360 Ferrari Modena and
Enzo Ferrari were awesome. The
Beetle convertible was….hmmm…cute.
A classy touch was provided by the fine folks at Mercedes Benz. Above their booth was a Benz Café overlooking the entire convention center. I thought
I'd chill for some biscotti and java while getting a high level view of the show. Payment was not needed. It was on the house. That made up for the lofty admission price of $18 for the show! Very nice indeed.
