The Bill
GPS waypoint: 14°38'34.1"N 121°03'31.1"E
Location: Z Bar, Malingap St., UP Village, Quezon City, Philippines
Lea and Me Lea and I go a long way...back into the old neighborhood, in our childhood days when as a budding teenager, she would ask guys on a bicycle if she can borrow it for a fun ride. I had a nice bike and somehow, I don't think I ever lent her my bike. I guess my hormones haven't kicked-in then. We lost touch but every once in a few years, we would cross paths again and catch-up. My visit to Quezon City was one such occasion.
Z Bar Z Bar is actually a cluster of hip eating and drinking holes that sprung up in the increasingly fashionable strip along Malingap Street in UP Village. The place is unpretentious with UP-likes as the usual denizens. Think Cubao Expo but without the live bands. We got a table in one of the eating places and ordered a bottle of wine, a platter of pica-pica, more wine and more pica-pica. When the bill came, we were both surprised and shocked! Almost at the same time, we loudly exclaimed,
TheLoneRider: "That's a lot of money !!!"
Lea: "Oh my God! It's dirt cheap here !!!"

hehehe....now you're going to lend me your bike!!!
The bill was unbelievable....imagine P500 for a bottle of Chilean red wine, and a platter of pica-pica, which we could even hardly finish....food served was as delectable as any restaurant charging sky high rates...overall that place is a winner! Thumbs up Gigit, you sure know cool places around Q.C.
